Looking for a Cook?

Orchards Cookery offers a recruitment service to ski companies and private chalets (and increasingly to private individuals and villa companies) to help them source quality, well trained cooks.

Well trained staff who can cook beautifully and are polite and personable are the key to guest satisfaction and Orchards Cookery produces some of the best trained chalet staff in the industry.   Some companies inform guests on their website that their chalet staff are trained by Orchards Cookery so that guests know they can expect excellent food and service.

Orchards Cookery has an excellent reputation within the ski industry and many ski companies benefit from our recruitment services.  Some ski companies pay for their staff to come to Orchards Cookery to be trained each year and lots of ski companies use our recipes and our menus in their chalets. 

As we stay in touch with past students we are often able to source a wide range of cooks, from students who have recently done a course, to students who we trained years ago who have since gained a wealth of cooking experience.

We have had the most fantastic week and what made it all the more special was the cooking delights of Ellie. She was a joy to have host us and the food she provided was a joy to eat.     "Laurie and Alex were utterly delightful young people and it [cooking for a family holiday] was an enormously successful arrangement for us. They did all the shopping, using mostly local produce, and cooked us very good lunches and suppers for 15!  They also prepared picnic lunches for us on a couple of days... they were so willing and cheerful all the time!  Of course it was a real holiday for me not to be in the kitchen. I was very good and hardly went into the kitchen and was happy to just let them get on with things!
